Computers for Public Use

Divider Line

Throughout the library system we offer access to computers and the Internet for patrons. Patrons with library cards may go directly to a computer and sign on.  Those in nonmember communities may request a visitor’s card for the day’s visit from the staff desk.  Below is a list of locations with the equipment/applications available. For the most up-to-date information, you may want to contact the library before your visit.  Please also see our Computer Registration Policy and Internet Access Policy for more information on computer use at the libraries.

BELLMAWR

There are 12 Computers in the Technology Training Center with Internet access and Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Publisher that offer individual signup times and free public training.

VOORHEES

First floor computers
There are computers with Internet access, Microsoft Office and children's games in the children's department.  The teen center, The Corner, has computers just for teens with Internet Access, Microsoft Office, and Ready Animator – a software product used for the creation of short movies and cartoons.

A library card or non-borrower's pass is required to sign up for a computer.
Printing is available for $.15 a copy.

   Sunday, 1-5 (Closed last Sunday in May through Labor Day)
  

Second floor computers
The Information Oasis has 24 computers with access to the Internet and Microsoft Office.  Most computers are available for walk-in visitors, but three computers may be reserved up to one day ahead of time.  To sign up for Internet time call 856-772-1636 x3388. 
Patrons with library cards may go directly to a computer and sign on.  Those without library cards may request a visitor's card for that day's visit from the staff desk.

Black and white printouts are available for $.15 per page and color printouts  for $.50 per page.

Next to the Reference Desk are 4 computers that offer selected reference databases.  Printing is available for $.15 a copy. Complete list of databases offered.

Third floor computers
The Voorhees Regional Library Technology Training Center offers individual signup times, free public training, and training for librarians throughout the region. There are 12 computers available for use when the room is not being used for Training purposes. Each computer has access to the Internet and Microsoft Office.  The computer center is a "quiet center."  Discussion must be inaudible to other patrons.

Most computers are available for walk-in visitors, but two computers may be reserved up to one day ahead of time.  To reserve a computer call 856-772-1636 x3365. Patrons with library cards may go directly to a computer and sign on.  Those without library cards may request a visitor's card for that day's visit from the staff desk.

Some computers also have ZoomText installed for visually impaired visitors.  Visitors who wish to use these programs should reserve a computer up to a day in advance by calling 856-772-1636 x3365 and tell our staff which program they are planning to use.  The library cannot instruct visitors on the use of these programs.
