Frequently asked questions
MyLibraryDV is a unique video-on-demand service. All you need is a library
card and a broadband Internet connection to have access to DVD-quality videos
covering a wide range of interests, and beginning July 10, 2009 you can
also enjoy Hollywood Favorites & World Cinema, including
Academy Award-winning films from legendary directors and the greatest actors and
actresses to ever grace the Silver Screen and popular BBC television series.
Before you can use MyLibraryDV you will need to do a one-time download of the
video viewer. During the download a shortcut to the viewer will be placed
on the desktop of your computer. Once the viewer is on your computer, you will
not need to visit the library website to download video. Just open the
viewer to browse through the many selections available.

Favorites and World Cinema and Sony Pictures Entertainment
This is your ticket to the most acclaimed films from Hollywood
and international studios. From popular British television to heartbreaking
romance and sweeping epic to thrilling adventure and light comedy, MyLibraryDV delivers the stunning images and stories that make film such an
important part of our lives. Choose from over 400 movies and popular BBC series.
You can check out one movie every 24 hours, and view it as often as you wish in
the 24 hours after you first hit the play button. If you have already
downloaded the MyLibraryDV viewer you do not need to do so again. Open up
the viewer to automatically launch the upgrade.

 MyLibraryDV Classics
You will find over 450 videos including Antiques Roadshow, America's
Test Kitchen, Rick Steves' Europe, Today's Homeowner,
independent films from Film Movement and an array of classics. MyLibraryDV is
constantly adding entertaining and educational programming for you to enjoy.
Videos in this collection may be checked out for 7 days.
There are no waiting lists for any of the videos in the Classic or Hollywood
Favorites collections. Check out up to 10 programs in a 7 day
checkout period (if there is room on your hard drive). All programs are
automatically deleted when the 7-day check-out period expires.
While MyLibraryDV is designed to be viewed on a computer, it may be possible
to connect your computer to a television set and view videos there.
