 The South Jersey Regional Library Technology Training Center (TTC) is funded and administered jointly by the New Jersey State Library, the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative and the Camden County Library in conjunction with the Camden County Board of Freeholders.  It offers computers to the public for individual use and free training in basic computer skills.  The room is reserved for the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for training of library staff throughout the region.

The TTC contains 12 networked computer workstations that provide the following to the public:

To register for a class, call 856-772-1636. A limit of two people may be registered with one phone call. If you reach voicemail, please leave your name and phone number along with a message. Your call will be returned. After taking a library class, there is a wait of 60 days before a patron can sign up for the same class.
 


Individual Signups

A library card is required to use computers. If you do not  belong to a member community you may request a one-day visitor's pass at the staff desk.

Some hours will be available daily for individual use on a sign-up basis. Reservations for one hour can be made up to one day in advance.  Staff will be able to offer some assistance during individual use time. They cannot provide one-on-one software training.

We recommend that you call 772-1636 up to a day in advance to reserve an hour. You may leave a message if you reach voicemail. Please leave your name and phone number along with your request.

Computers will be assigned for one-hour sessions. If no one is waiting for the computer, you will be able to continue beyond the one hour limit. Walk-ins will be assigned a computer if there is no training session in progress and there is a computer available that is not reserved for use.


TTC Hours

The TTC will be open most hours during the week.  The room will  be closed to the public during Camden County Library’s training sessions. The Information Oasis on the second floor is open all hours that the library is open to the public.


TTC Policies

Printouts will be available from a laser printer for a $.10 per page charge. (There will be no charge for printouts during training sessions.) You may bring your own diskettes or buy them at the TTC desk for $1.00.  Color printouts are available for $.50 per page.

Users may not use their own software programs or modify the library's software or files.

No food allowed.  Beverages allowed in covered containers.
